AN EXTRAORDINARY DAY OF LIVE ART


Action! Nafasi was unique chance of seeing Tanzanian and European Artists in live action was kicking off last Saturday. On the 16th of April, artists had been working live at the Nafasi –Art Space in Dar es Salaam. The event had include music, open studios and live power painting. The art will be exhibited until April 22nd.

Bagamoyo Arts Festival 2011


is held annually in the bustling coastal city of Bagamoyo in October. Known as the arts capital of Tanzania, Bagamoyo is home to the Bagamoyo College of Arts or Chuo cha Sanaa, which acts as a center for the many art centres, craftsmen, artist cooperatives and sculpture groups in the city.

who come to take part or simply spectate and observe. Traditional dance and music performances, displays of acrobatics, sculpture exhibitions, art workshops, reggae and hiphop concerts, and much more, keep the town buzzing and the people busy for the whole five days of the festival.
